Naturally Dyed Eggs

You don't have to use the cutesy kits...

The following natural ingredients will produce lovely dyed eggs:

Beet Juice
(2 - 4 cups)
Chopped Red Cabbage
(2 - 4 cups)
Blueberry Juice
2 - 4 cups)
Brewed Coffee
2 - 4 cups)
Beige to Bright Pink Pale to Royal Blue Lavender Deep Mocha Color
(1 tablespoon in 1 cup of water)
Cranberry Juice
(2 - 4 cups)
Onion Skins w/ Black Pepper Corns
(4 - 6 cups in enough water to cover the skins)
Bright Orange Pale Pink Beige to Mauve Tones

OR... keep your eye out for araucana eggs, a true gift of Mother Nature.  Arucauna chickens lay eggs that are pale blue, green, and gold.  They run anywhere from $1.50 to $2.00 for a half dozen, and they keep their lovely colors when boiled.
